They were handed out during the Trump administration as well. Inflation is high because for more than a year, the world significantly reduced the number of goods it produced. Consequently, people had money but the reduced supply of goods made demand >>>>> supply. The fed, failing to recognize the root cause of the inflation, went to their playbook and unnecessarily raised interest rates causing the economy to plummet. No doubt that Biden has fanned the flames but he's not the cause. We'd be in the exact same position we are today had Trump been elected.
