replacement of the gas would actually harm the environment more
Have replaced 3 in the last couple years but they were all 18+ years old
You can buy black market R-22 to get you by but really not only do you need the equipment to charge it but it means you have a leak and like a car AC it will really only blow cold for a few months before you have to do it again.
