In this case, as well as Trump's, printing money that caused inflation increased the "price" of stocks in terms of dollars.

In reality the Fed has more to do with that than the President.

However a President's comments and policies definitely can impact the economy.

Usually the less a President does/says about it, the better off an economy would be.
