hasn't committed treason.
It is, however, looking more and more likely that he obstructed justice, and could be charged with that crime.
That said, the right thing would be for Garland and Biden to announce that they are not going to charge him with any of the crimes he committed. It would be destructive to our country to see an ex-President charged with such offenses, even if he is plainly guilty. This is a time for grace.
Another option would be for Biden to show mercy and pre-emptively pardon him.
But I have little confidence that Garland and Biden will do the right thing.
