2 party system is extremely limiting, particularly when what used to be the Republican Party is ruined and not viable for sane or informed people. So Democratic Party is the only option remaining. Ideally there would be a 3rd party, 4th party, etc or just no parties.

Your question is phrased wrong because nothing would lead a sane person to support Donald Trump and the Republican Party in its current state is a non-starter for most legit people, but there are many things that would lead a sane person away from the Democrat party. It just would need to be not the only viable option.
