Well, in 2014 prior to the Russian invasion of Crimea the Crimeans voted to become independent of Ukraine, as did the people from the Donbas region. Ukraine attacked the Donbass region (with US and Nato assistance) and continued to do so for over 5 years. Ukraine repeatedly violated the Minsk agreement with the USA help. There is more.
