which is that our government is and should be hesitant to investigate presidents and candidates for fear of weaponizing the government. But Trump CLEARLY deserved this. And these are not alleged offenses. Heck, Trump has publicly admitted some of them. The whole finding of the Mueller investigation was that the DOJ didn't think they could charge a sitting president. If you think Trump is innocent at this point then I have a hard time believing you're impartial.
The worst example of this type of abuse in our nation's history that we know about was Nixon using the CIA to spy on the campaign of his political opponent. And act that did and should have ended his political career and would have resulted in criminal charges against him had he not been pardoned.
Now compare that to Trump calling the Secretary of State in a state he lost and telling him to "find" enough votes for him to win. Or asking the DOJ to declare the election fraudulent. Nixon was a misdemeanor in comparison.
