Bannon was subject to a lawful order to provide records and appear before the January 6 committee and provide testimony regarding his role in the riot and attempted coup.

bannon refused that order and will be heading to prison - where he belongs (he should be behind bars for his role in the wall building scam.) Bannon would have avoided prison altogether if he had simply complied with the subpeona - trump gave him a pardon, so would have skated for any crime relating to the attempted coup.
