criminal complaints (which is required reporting of physicians who encounter an underaged pregnant patient, b/c a crime was committed).
Also, it's Hipaa, not Hippa.
Thirdly, Hipaa prevents the disclosure of IDENTIFIABLE patient records. They are allowed, under law to say "one person had this condition". If that was illegal, all of the local news reports saying "the hospital states that the victim is in stable condition" would be illegal.
