deaths is to reduce the number of guns, especially those guns that can kill multiple people in mere seconds.

Removing laws that do reduce gun deaths, even a little, is idiocy. That's like saying you should not wear a seat belt because it won't prevent 100% of deaths in cars, even though seat belts reduce the risk of death greatly
