Any PAC 12 members contemplating joining the Big 12 should consider THIS: that in men's basketball, outcomes of games are not decided by the competitors on the court. One member team is given an 'officiating advantage' enabling it to win enough games in conference play to railroad it into the league's regular season championship. Which is ignored by everyone in the national media. It is unique to any other sport in any other conference in the United States.

If those programs do join, they should do so with their eyes open.
