at night and driving all over the south KC Metro. Ran of the road into a parking lot on Kansas City Road. It was a bar where Cookie Rojas used to hang out (another story). Hit a telephone pole head on at 0300 or so.

We cut him out of the car and get him to Olathe Community Hospital. I call his house and his mother answers. "That can't be my son. He's upstairs asleep." Go check....I'll wait.

Single mom. He'd been doing this for some time. She was clueless.
