govt rules and actions can materialize from it. There is a rash of activity on social media (and places like Tigerboard) calling for swift government activity.

It becomes less about the actual tragedy, and more about what can be accomplished on the heels of it. Hence, why the phrase "thoughts and prayers" is mocked in the process.

Can you understand that?
