Now, if you can pretend that you 'always thought that all along' as the world is turned on it's head, fine - whatever you need to do to survive.
But literally your awareness is so compromised that you fell hook-line and sinker for the bad guys, and then spent endless hours defending the bad guys.
It's a colossal misappropriation of time and effort.
