They will get considerably worse moving forward for Russia. How they grapple with it is on them. Food prices and other essentials in the last month have risen 20% or more. Propping up the ruble even temporarily has come at a steep cost, easting up strategic reserves that were already small and partially frozen by the West.
If you don't see this, it's because you don't want to.
Our gasoline prices are still relatively low, especially when adjusted for inflation. They're also likely only temporarily higher.
Our gas consumption from Russia was small. We have our own gas reserves. Using the world's supply allows us to keep our own which benefits us in a long term strategic point of view. If you don't like Middle East natural gas, that's a separate issue for our elected officials to grapple with.
