so last night a friend calls that he lost his two storage units and they are being auctioned of tomorrow (today).
And the bidding online has already started.
and no the friend is not me.
Protip #1 - if you are going to not pay your storage unit make sure you put any valuable looking stuff out of sight and to the back. Piling the crappiest stuff in front.
Evidently they can open the unit -describe what they see take a picture of whats visible and thats it.
He had two units- one looked like it had some decent stuff in front (a big tool wheely deal, a safe and
some gaming stuff) the other looked like it had nothing but crap. My friend said the order was reversed though- the more valuable stuff was in the crappy looking unit.
So the crappy looking unit I won for 30 bucks and the
other one for 490 bucks.
He said he owed a whopping hard to believe 2800 bucks.
So protip #2- if you get more than a month behind then let it ride and have someone buy it back for in this case 18% but wait! they do tack on all kinds of additional fees and taxes so it was more like 650 plus a hundred buck a piece cleaning deposit (which I will get back when its done (so thats protip #3)
Protip # 4 - don't even bother bidding till the last 10 mins-cause thats when all the action cums.
