Covid is an excellent reminder of how wrong things go

when 2 things happen:
1. It becomes political
2. Decisions are made based on emotion and fear instead of logic
It all started with the emotional pleas to "stay home, save lives" from people freaking out about China and Italy and nurses writing novels on social media about how horrible everything was and how seriously we need to take it.
Then it became R vs. D in terms of mandates vs. not. And the slippery slope just went on from there.
