I don't think anyone should be surprised at their repetitive failures at this point. But agreed, there is no reason he should still be allowed to coach an NCAA team at this point. If ku had the capacity for shame or operated as an institution of higher learning they would have removed him from his position several years ago.

I think its pretty likely that this tournament run is vacated, but vacating results is basically meaningless.
