Comes to believe, not only that they are worthy of the gift they received, but much more than that.
Racism and oppression are keeping her down in her new position.
She was given an unworkable, unmanageable portfolio that had I think three items on it. She screwed all of those up of course, and now demands respect. The assumption is of course that the mostly white Inner Circle of the president wouldn’t stand (and genuflect) because she’s black.
