Gonna get mobbed for this, but Gates was in my top 5 for the job. Granted, he was No.4 or No.5 but I’m not completely dissatisfied. I swear the idiots that post regularly on the bball board must be the most out of shape, sexually frustrated, unathletic geeks in the entire state. Would I have preferred Kimmie or Altman, yes. However, this is not a horrible hire. Gates had a decent resume and had a pretty good buzz about him before we had even began the hiring process.
