There was no logical reason to think that Kim Anderson would be successful here and that he was a good hire other than hope that an alumni would care so much that they could manifest a positive outcome.

Today, I'm thinking something similar with Kim English. He hasn't proven himself to be any sort of coach in one season but I find myself thinking he could be successful here despite almost no proof that is the case.

About the only difference is that Kim English has been in D1 basketball for the last 7 years where Kim Anderson was not.
