To be fair, Trump signed off on 'stimulus' checks in the hope of staving off disaster for the lower middle classes. That said, there was no good reason for the lockdowns and mandates or any further big ticket government spending. Too many dollars chasing too few or the same amount of goods is a recipe for inflation.
