there was mutual interest between Mizzou and Altman's camp a few days ago. I don't know if or how that has progressed since, or if it has at all. I do think it's interesting that no one has come out to pull his name out of the rumor mill yet, whereas many of the other coaches mentioned had "sources close to" so-and-so say they weren't interested in the job. That has yet to happen with Altman, but it might not mean anything. Take it for what it's worth.

I also know the preference is to hire a sitting P5 coach over a mid-major guy. I know that they're very high on Kim English, as are some other schools with coaching vacancies right now. I can't say for sure that they'd choose Kim over one of the mid-major names, but I know his name is at least near, if not at, the top of the list if they can't snag a sitting P5 guy.

How do I know this? I work for rich people who can't keep their mouths shut.
