On the other hand, an elected public official who is a prosecuting attorney shouldn't be lying on legal documents just so she can buy extra homes. I believe that lying on loan docs might be a felony, so that would likely get her removed from office.
She should have fessed up, paid a fine and moved on. Saying that this was politically motivated instead is when they will put the hammer down, as they should.
