And trying to compare Trump wall charade with actual effort to provide healthcare to millions of Americans is laughable. Recall if you will as well that a SWARM of insurance, pharm and medical industry lobbyist blanketed DC that summer to promise every rep and every senator that if they spoke the words Single Payer in discussion of that bill that said lobbyists would guarantee funding political challengers to end those pols' careers.
That game was pretty fixed and now many years later we can see what an achievement that was and - nod to the head where deserved, the brilliance of Pelosi to pass it. You can get as adolescently partisan about Pelosi as you want - but she got it done.
