have been to hire Kim Anderson and retain him for 3 years and hire Cuonzo Martin and retain him for 5 years. To completely crater one of your two revenue sports and drive fan apathy to such an extreme level is more costly than any compensation that could be paid to a coaching staff.

Its incredibly costly for MU to not field a serious men's basketball program.
