Your assumption that it's one or the other is wrong. I have no first hand knowledge he has committed a moral wrong in being a bad coach, nor is there reliable evidence of a supposed moral wrong in being a bad coach which I have seen.
So why would I have malice towards him?
Would I shake his hand and thank him for his time as MU basketball coach?
If I ever met him, that wouldn't be the topic of conversation, unless he brought it up.
