We were only going to win around 22 games and be middle of the pack in the SEC. What we would now consider almost unthinkable success. But in the context of MU before we vastly lowered expectations those results were going to rightly result in his termination and we did not give him the contract extension he was looking for so he considered going to Tulsa a better option than remaining MU's coach.

So instead we won 8 games and got last in the SEC.
