Certainly there are lines that cannot be crossed. The Whoopi thing is stupid. Cuomo deserves what he got because he very much crossed an ethical line and lied about it. Zucker was very much the dumb ass, but he likely helped to create the standard that cost him his job so he died by his own sword.

But so much of this is just stupid.
