Trump's ideas were good, but his execution was poor

and he garnered visceral reactions from both sides of the aisle that served as a huge impediment to getting the full benefit out of his agenda.
When Trump ran in 2016, he said he was going to run the gummint like a business. That showed his naiveté on how US gummint operates. I believe he was truely shocked to find out that the Executive Branch is not superior to the other 2 branches and learned (the hard way) that he had to negotiate from a position of equality or even a position of weakness to get his agenda passed). That should not happen with a POTUS who understands how the US Constitution has divided the powers of the 3 branches.
I believe there are Republicans who are generally 'like minded' as Trump but less polarizing and more knowledgeable about how to get legislation passed that advances the agenda.
