trojan horse for a lethal bioweapon, choose a harmless (or even better non-existent) ailment that can't be differentiated from the most common ailment in the species.
Preferably an ailment that clears up on it's own in a few days.
That way no one will be able to effectively argue effectiveness - I mean - you're 'cured' right?
No more symptoms!
The down side is that people can do nothing and...CURED!
Or they can take horse paste or papayas and...CURED!
This whole 'Oh it reduced my symptoms!' is just another clever wrinkle. How could you possibly know that? Just trust Fauci - your symptoms were less!!!
Or how about papaya and again...MY SYMPTOMS WERE LESS!!!
I mean this isn't complicated, it's really fish in a barrel...
