Pretty sure they have an interim AD and an interim President. And there's some legal issues between the University and a former assistant. Mack wasn't the center of it but I think this is more of a "let's just clean house so the new administration can start with a clean slate" issue than it is a performance issue. Granted his team isn't great this year but I think that's just a convenient excuse.
