Why do defenses get so tired but offenses don’t?

Not trying to be a smartass here, everyone keeps saying how tired the defenses were, but the offenses were playing all night too and haven’t heard anyone say “well the offense was gassed”

I think saying they were tired is a lazy argument and somewhat of an excuse for the opposing offenses figuring out the defenses and picking them apart as the game goes on
