They probably lean left just like the journalist moderators but unlike the journalists they actually moderated debates and didn't let their own personalities and ideologies try to run the show.

Also more issues questions and less of the ratings-driven, stir crap, kinda gotcha loaded "do you still beat your wife" kinds of questions.
