aren't all dead and that's taking a much greater risk than not wearing a mask at a crowded party.
Just because people make bad risk assessments doesn't mean everyone who does so dies.
Likewise some people who make good decisions still die.
I can point to people who have driven sober and worn their seatbelts and still died in car accidents and people who have driven drunk without seatbelts and survived car accidents, or even avoided car accidents.
But I wouldn't argue that because people drive drunk every day and most survive that it therefore follows that they aren't taking unnecessary risks.
