Just 5 weeks from softball season opener...

against Eastern Kentucky, 9am CST, Friday, February 11. Can’t wait.
Not much info comes out in these 4-5 weeks before the season starts (except on some pay sites), until the first preseason polls and conference picks come out around February 1 I believe.
One source right now is College Sports Madness, which is of some questionable quality, but for softball junkies like me I’ll take a fix where I can find if. They are into their top 44 previews, one a day from bottom to top until the season starts. It’s not hard to pick a decent preseason ranking, as most teams don’t change a lot from year to year, but the CSM guy usually provides some hilarity along the way. Usually he provides some narrative, which is even sometimes accurate and interesting, but so far he is just picking a slot and listing key players leaving and returning along with stats. Here is his ranking so far:
44. Syracuse
43. Ohio St
42: Texas St
41: BYU
40: Charlotte
39: Delaware
38: Iowa St
37: Liberty
36: South Carolina
