I think it was based on the mere rhetoric of making even tiny changes in DC, and that sent the elites and Big Media into destroy mode. Of course, Trump was the same as his predecessors in reality, but not in hyperreality (where he was literally Hitler).
It makes it pretty damn apparent that, but for a major cultural shift (which the wind aint blowing that way right now), the federal govt will never be corralled and secession and decentralization are the only answers.
