into the capital; she advanced on a cop with a gun pointing at her - and she had a mob behind her. Pretty clearly a case of suicide by cop.

The real problem with the trump riot is that there wasn't a substantial enough police/NG presence to maintain control of the mob. But armed NG to control a trump event would have been "bad optics". A breach should not have been allowed - regardless of the level of force required to prevent it.
