Now, I guess you can debate whether or not Martin should have found a way to make it work or if there even was a way.

But Pinson was leaving MU in the Spring of 2021 no matter what happened and it was set in stone before the 20/21 season started. So, starting some time in late 2019 or early 2020, every action that was taken in recruiting and roster development was done so with the knowledge that Xavier Pinson was not going to be on the roster this season. Should Martin have picked up a transfer or juco PG instead of 2 combo transfers? Yup.
