Decades long MU men’s fan who for the time being has turned away from the team. This year I sadly root against the team as I hope a change in the staff is then forced to happen.
I now am a fan of the women’s team . At this time , way more fun than following the men.
A thought on the men’s coaching stafff….all this discussion on the players recruited this year in the transfer portal….those are not recruits, there simply the players who this staff got to sign on. There were players to recruit in the portal , probably 25 -50 who could have helped. MU didn’t get those players . MU did have to field a team so here we are.
Media and MU by nature promoted this new group as something all new and maybe a promising new era. It was obvious after the roster was assembled they would likely be historically bad.
There may be 1 , and I suppose possibly another freshman on this team who ever contributes much to a winning team at MU , if he stays.
There were times in the previous recruiting period that I wondered if Martin could actually fill out a roster.
In defense of the team ,in the last few games they have at times played better. It must be tough for players to go through this.
