to $1.75T (which is still a MASSIVE number) were shameless. They imposed "sunset clauses" of 1 years on most of the new welfare programs, but they KNOW DAMN WELL those programs will *never* be cancelled.

Reagan famously said "The closest thing to eternal life is a government program."

Once started, they're virtually impossible to end.
