Is anyone here still happy we scheduled a 102-65 loss to KU?

Is it fair to say that was a really bad idea, given that we had no chance of winning?
BTW, even if you think it's a good idea to play KU, the timing was all wrong. It reminds me of how we withdrew from Afghanistan, pulling our troops out before the civilians.
The fact is, KU isn't a rival – they're an enemy who *hates* us. They wouldn't play us if we had the advantage, or if they were in the P4 conference while we were set to become a mid-major. Unlike us, they do what's in *their* best interests. That's why they cancelled the game last year (the *only* game they cancelled).
KU has far more to gain by playing us, and that's why they're doing it. 10 years ago, Bill Self said that KU would only resume the rivalry if he thought it was in KU's best interests.
The best thing we can do is allow KU to fade into mid-major oblivion. Let their rivals be K-State and Cincinnati, while we focus our energy on Illinois, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Texas, and the rest of the SEC.
