still running. Only replaced the lamp once (it's like a projector lamp) and battery stick 3 or 4 times.

Had a Bianchi light I gave to my brother when I bought the SL-20. He left D-cell batteries in it and they leaked and killed it.

I also have a D-cell Mag Lite I found laying in the street in Independence. It's just as indestructible as the Streamlight.
