And yes I've read this article several times over. I consume media that I don't agree with, including anti vaxxer mouth breather propaganda.
Also you nitwit, why do you think this would fizzle out like the flu? You don't spread the flu before you show symptoms. You do spread covid to show symptoms, the whole "viruses will mutate to become less deadly" shtick was dropped in the 90s.
There is 0 evolutionary pressure on covid to evolve to be less deadly as it is able to spread before you show symptoms so there is no reason for it not to kill the host.
Covid is not the flu and will not behave like the flu. It's foolish to assume so.
The data out of south Africa seems to show (AS OF RIGHT NOW, and might change in the future) is that the vaccines, while having a 95% efficacy against delta is down to about 90% against omicron. Having a previous covid infection provides 0 benefit (so much for that natural immunity) vaccinated individuals are experiencing better outcomes than the unvaxxed and they're seeing mostly kids under the age of 2 in the hospitals at the moment.
South Africa has a less than 30% vaccination rate so calling this a pandemic of the vaccinated is ****ing retarded.
