has he taken steps to change his behavior? Attended counseling?
As much as I would love to have him as a Coach, he has to have taken the steps to address behavior issues. He had an excellent reputation in the community which could be used to build upon IF he has done anything to deal with unacceptable behavior. He needs to rebuild trust in the basketball community to recruit at the level he did previously. I read an SI article that put some blame on the University for ignoring the signs of problems and implied that a strong athletic department that was not seduced by winning would have cut the problems off and perhaps stopped it without every getting to the point of firing/resignation. He will need a landing spot to rehab his reputation, Mizzou would be an ideal location with great facilities and a great conference and would present everything he needs to clean up his image.
He may be arrogant enough to think a bigger/better program will want him, if that is his attitude he is out of basketball and won't find anything in P5.
