the accuracy of the government covid death numbers as undeniable facts and yet many people know of friends, family or acquaintances who have been classified as covid deaths when such classification is questionable at best.
I've read of several of these on tigerboard and know of at least one myself. My kids had a grade school teacher who had cancer but stayed on for a couple of years while fighting it. It got worse and she retired. A year or two later I heard that she was getting worse and things were not looking good. Perhaps a year or more after that we got word that she died of covid despite being fully vaccinated.
Many people felt that was a rather bogus "covid death".
Similar stories abound.
The CDC currently lists 753,705 covid deaths:
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/index.htm
The World Health Organization did a study in 51 locations and came up with a .23% Infection Fatality Rate (IFR).
https://www.who.int/bulletin/volumes/99/1/20-265892.pdf
Doing basic math one can compute the number of people infected if one has the IFR and the number of deaths.
Infected X IFR = # of deaths.
Infected = # deaths / IFR
Plugging in the numbers we get:
327,697,826 = 753,705 / .0023
327,697,826 infected / 333,656,939 population = 98.21% of the US has already been infected by Covid.
Do you believe that?
If so, then we should easily be over the herd immunity threshold per Fauci and friends just from natural immunity alone. Adding in vaccine induced immunity for more than half of the population would put us way over the threshold.
If not, do you think the WHO is wrong in their studies on the IFR? Or do you think the US death tally is off?
Or can you find an error in my math?
