1. Artificial ambience coupled with long, momentum killing TV timeouts. I recall having some music piped in when I was a student, but with the long TV timeouts it seems interminable. They are trying hard to keep the energy up during the timeouts to pass them time. What I really don’t need is a video board to tell us that 3rd down is important and “shake you keys”.

2. On the piped in sound topic, I love loud music that gets me pumped up but the north EZ speakers are uncomfortably loud at times. I sit in 122 (30 yd line, south side) and measured 95 dBA (I have an app that’s pretty accurate) during a couple of songs at the first game. That’s hearing loss loud; I think it’s been turned down a notch since.

3. The west concession stand hot food is just not good. Got a burger just after halftime — cold, cheese wouldn’t melt. Ugh. With the “no return” stadium policy there’s an opportunity for $$ being missed. Why can’t they sell Shakes slices out of one or two of these stands??

4. Everyone here says “just win”, but I disagree. I was thoroughly disappointed with the EFFORT during the TN game. If the players are giving up, why should we stay invested? It was painfully obvious from my vantage point that some kids gave up part way through the 1st quarter, like they knew the game plan was doomed so why bother. The NT effort was light years better, so let’s see if that effort continues against aTm and beyond.
