If you're referring to Truman, you're flat-out stupid. Without dropping the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan would have fought to the death, resulting in far greater carnage on both sides. Estimates range from 400,000 to more than 1 million U.S. casualties (killed and wounded) and perhaps 10 million Japanese dead. Hell, the Japanese were training women and children to attack with bamboo spears. All to die for the Emperor.
