Rejection of God's authority and the authority of His word leads to
- No moral absolutes.
- No right and wrong.
- No accountability for moral wrongs.
- False moral standards held out as superior to those stated by God.
- Lack of valuing human life. Murder on all levels from the womb to the infirmed to the aged, to the inconvenient to those in the way of the fittest getting what they are willing to take from the weak.
- False standards used to set the true value of human beings.
Survival of the fittest.
- Lack of respect for the property of others.
- Lack of respect for marriage.
- Lack of respect for sex.
- Lack of respect for the harmful impact to others of one's own action.
- Destruction of peaceful community life.
- Lack of respect for parents, the elderly, and people in positions of authority, such as pastors, teachers, government authorities.
- Lack of respect for the law, and the misuse of the legal process by corrupt government officials.
You neglect the widows and the orphans, as well as the poor.
There are many more things which could be listed.
You laugh at the scriptures, and then you whine when the crop from the seed of your discontentment which you've sown ripens; and you discover it is poisonous.
"For the word of the Lord is right, And all His work is done in truth."
"The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever."
"Hear the word of the Lord, You children of Israel, For the Lord brings a charge against the inhabitants of the land: “There is no truth or mercy Or knowledge of God in the land."
"Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth."
"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account."
