CDC guidance to essentially do nothing but wait & see if they recover... if not, start treating them in the hospital was.
They said that has never been the way that the medical community has handled situations in the past.
Instead, they started calling doctors in Italy and elsewhere around the world to find out what they were doing, what worked and what didn't.
They said that it has always made sense to try repurposing currently existing drugs that have already gone through all of the rigorous safety testing.
In this case the doctors found that treating patients early with a couple of different drugs was very beneficial for their patients.
Just waiting around for years for drug companies to come up with new drugs & for the double blind controlled trials while millions die is absurd.
